Bonjour, ma prof d'anglais m'a donné un texte à faire sur l'histoire des Etats Unis (un petit résumé).
J'aimerais que quelqu'un corrige mes fautes, merci de m'aider (je suis en 3ème):
In the year 1620, a boat called The Mayflower left Plymouth (in England) to Massachusetts (in United States). The vessel transported 102 English immigrants composed of 35 pilgrims protestants fleeing Jacques Ier's persecutions and 67 other people.
These Europeans were the first colonists to live durably in New England, where they decided to base the city of Plymouth.
The winter 1620 was very rough and 62 colonists died from cold and from hunger.
But, thanks to the assistance of Indians who taught the plantation of corn to them, the others survived. (Its the origin of Thanksgiving.)
Some years after, a war burst enters the Indians and the colonists and the Indians died.
And after have made the witch hunt, in 1775, they started to kill English to become independent. And in 1783, the Great-Britain recognized their independence.
In 1776, the government voted the 2nd amendment to the Constitution: the Americans can have an arm.
After many years of slavery, blacks slaves revolted versus their owners and caused a Civil War. They got the abolition of slavery in 1865. But an association was founded : the Ku Klux Klan ( an organisation racist who killed black people) and another was created (when the other become an association terrorist illegal in 1871), the National Rifle Association who defended the right to have an arm. The segregation continued until 1955 when a black woman didnt accept to sit at the bottom of the bus. After this incident, many black people fought for civil rights, Martin Luther King was the leader and the best defendant for equal rights for black and white people.
When blacks and whites were equals, white people went to the suburbs : its the inner cities phenomenon.
