If you want to solve the equation written below as a function of x , try and use LaTeX to be readable then MathWorks . tan{a}= (\frac{-x*sin{b}+ x*tan{c}*cos{a}}{x*cos{b} + x*tan{c}*sin{b}} *cos{a}+ \sqrt{d^2 - x^2 - x*tan^2{c} }*sin{a} ) . thanks a lot Elerinna for your rewriting in this b...

i have the value of a,b,c and d (are known) the unknown is x..but i want to find the x=f(a,b,c,d) in other (how does x change with a,b,c,d).
because handy is too much difficult :doh: !!

(x^2)-(x TAN(c))^2 )] sin(a) ).
does Matlab has a way to back calcualte (solve) this equation in function in of X?
