I have an interesting puzzle as you can see below. Could you please help me to find the solution ?

Today at 0715 US East Coast time, I was exiting an airport terminal in New York. The time it took to exit the terminal was approximately 75 seconds.

During that 75 seconds, I saw a girl from our New York Office who was walking into the terminal to fly to Washington, which is the city from which I flew.

Every day there are 40 flights per day between Washington and New York. (Not all from that particular airport terminal).

The population of Washington is 658 893 and New York is 8 406 000

The number of Travellers flying between Washington and New York...can be estimated.

What are the chance that her and I see each other during that 75 seconds period of time today ?

There are some ideas :
-maybe you and your friend are from a part of the population wich take plane regulary. Some pepole never flew in their life time. others can take a plane many times a week.
-planes have shredule. In an airport, arrivals and departures are time of big activities, but the rest of time there is very few passengers.
