Bonjour à tous,

J'ai repris des études que j'avais mis de côté pendant près de 10 ans et je me résoud à vous consulter pour répondre à 2 exercices:

"Find the extremal values of the following quadratic functions:
f(x1,x2,x3,x4,x5) = -4x1² + x1x2 + x3x4 +x1x5 + 40x1 -72x3

over the following constraint set:
-x1 + 4x2 - 2x3 + x4 + x5 = 0;
-53x1 - x2 + x3 +3x4 - 11x5 = 0;
4x1 + x2 -x3 + x5 = 0. :hum:

(a) Eliminate, by pivoting, the variables x2, x4 and x5 step by step in a given order,
(b) Reduce the number of variables based on the previous step.
(c) Determine the extremal solutions of the original problem."

Le second:

"find the extremal values of the following objective function
f(x,y,z) = 2xy + 5xz + yz
over the following constraint set:
xyz = 10" :mur:

C'est courageux de reprendre les maths !!

Ton exercice est un problème d'optimisation sous contraintes qui fait appel au lagrangien. Tape ce mot (ou optimisation sous contrainte lagrangien)sous Google, tu auras des références.
