Bonsoir,
Voici mon texte :
"Please remove all hoods before entering this establishment" can read Londoners on shop signs. The British society tends to tag young people as yobs, thugs or hoodies. I really wonder why such a mixed feeling of hatred and fear toward youth is spreading in society.
There are indeed youth violence as shown by the "happy slappings" and brawls between gangs.
Media told us it all went wrong. Once lived well-mannered people, nowadays they are involved with gangs. Thanks to this climate of rising fear can people such as Boris Johnson ride to power and stoked this phobia.
However violence figures fell since 2000, so I am afraid that demonising youth is a maneuver to pass laws restricting individual liberties using youth as a scapegoat.
Un grand merci !
